About

My love for writing and storytelling bloomed from long conversations with my Arabic speaking parents who frequently requested my help with rewriting emails, texts, and any form of correspondence that they deemed “needed more personality.”

While my parent’s language skills have vastly improved since the fourth grade, I’ve learned through five years of experience in technology PR how to take the mundane and turn it into a story worth telling. Whether working with clients from industries ranging from datacenters to aviation tech to blue laser welding, I’ve successfully helped clients find their “why.”

My favorite avenue for achieving this is through an often overlooked skill in communications – listening. As a communicator, I believe the power of shutting up, paying attention (like really paying attention), and telling the story right the first time is how companies and stakeholders build a symbiotic relationship fuelled on trust and intrigue.

While I’m not working, I serve as a Development Committee Member for CORE, an education nonprofit, where I help execute the nonprofit’s annual gala and lead communications efforts. I’m also a long time fitness enthusiast who’s dabbled in competitive powerlifting, Brazilian jiu jitsu, long distance races, and yoga.
